Picture Square Borders
by Rose Smith
Picture Square Borders I first saw this particular technique at a quilt show some years ago, but it has taken this week's snow to remind me of it. The edging to these squares is made from - wait for it! -- a paper napkin. . . . keep reading

Sharpening Your Rotary Cutter Blade
by Rose Smith
Sharpening Your Rotary Cutter Blade With the amount of quilting that I do, I need to replace my rotary cutter blades fairly often. I don't change the blade as often as I should, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one who's guilty of that. . . . keep reading
Fussy Cut Quilting
by Rose Smith
Fussy Cut Quilting Have you ever wondered what a fussy cut is in quilting? Sometimes, very often with floral patterns, there can be a small section of the pattern that is so lovely that you just want to showcase it. . . . keep reading
Cutting Mat Bag
by Rose Smith
Cutting Mat Bag I'm sure that other quilters are much better organised than I am, but I seem to end up with lots of bags with bits of this and that in them. That's why I decided that it was time for a cutting mat bag. . . . keep reading
Wall Hangings for Room Decor
Wall Hangings for Room Decor Want some easy decor to hang on the walls of your sewing room? The obvious solution is to make a quilted wall hanging. But that would take time away from all the other quilting you've got to get done . . . keep reading

Quilt Batting Seam Tape
by Rose Smith
Quilt Batting Seam Tape Do you keep hoping that you will find a use for all your small lengths of batting? You know, the long strips that you cut from the sides of your quilt. I hang on to them in the vain hope that one day I will suddenly find a use for them all. . . . keep reading

"When I have been having problems getting in the mood to work on my quilts that I am committed to finishing by August I just have to check in at the quilting site and I'm back in the mood. It has been wonderful."

"I have recently discontinued my membership, but strongly feel the need to say that you have certainly had a huge influence on my life. Your internet quilting club has given me wings as a quilter. The reason I am discontinuing my membership isn’t because I am not satisfied with what I’ve gained from it, it’s because I’ve got so much to do – it will take me more than two years to complete it all. (I’m a slow quilter ok!) I have not got so many UFO’s (trust me, there are a few hidden safely away!) as that I have WDHT’s (wanna-do-haven’t-had-time’s).

Thank you Penny – your inspiration has been much appreciated.

Regards,"

Dorothy, Durbanville, South Africa
