Discussion Forums The discussion forums are provided as a way for you to ask questions, seek opinions, offer advice, and in generally connect with other subscribers. In order for the discussion forums to work, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- Do lead by example - Nothing improves a forum more than posters who reason sharply, write well, and have some perspective about it all. Be one of them.
- Do keep it clean - A differance of opinion between subscribers is acceptable, but refrain from abusive attacks, engaging in senseless flame wars, and using profane language.
- Do use common sense - If you read a post that sounds too good or strange to be true, it probably is.
- Do stay on topic - If you are going to reply to a post, make sure you are placing it in the correct area. Use the reply button below the original post.
- Do not post commercial messages. This means don't use the discussion forums for self promotion.
- Don't spam - Post your message once
- Don't violate poster privacy - Don't reveal online private or personal information of another individual. If you are asked for a friend's email address, the best advice usually is to forward the request to the friend. He or she can then decide whether to respond.
- Don't play games - Don't represent yourself as another person, create or use another screen name to avoid a revocation of posting privileges, misrepresent the site or your role in it, and don't misattribute a contribution you've made.
- Don't be a whiner - If you really, really find this site not to your liking, let the webmaster know directly, learn to live with it, or move along.

Transferring a Quilting Pattern to Your Quilt
Quilting Coach Penny
To transfer a quilting design from a book or magazine (or anything else…), lay a piece of netting over the design and trace the design with a permanent marker. This will probably bleed through to the book or magazine, so be sure that is ok. Take the netting with the design marked on it, and place it on your quilt where you want the design, and then trace the design onto your quilt through the netting, using something that will come off. . . .

Penny I love this site! All the fabulous info in it is just what I need. I'm a newbie to quilting; but have done a lot of sewing for myself and my kids over the years. Now I've decided to tackle quilting..."

Anna
"Penny, bless your heart for helping turn the light on over my head on how to become more efficient at this new love of mine!"
Patty
"When I have been having problems getting in the mood to work on my quilts that I am committed to finishing by August I just have to check in at the quilting site and I'm back in the mood. It has been wonderful."
Anna British Columbia, Canada
"I have recently discontinued my membership, but strongly feel the need to say that you have certainly had a huge influence on my life. Your internet quilting club has given me wings as a quilter. The reason I am discontinuing my membership isn’t because I am not satisfied with what I’ve gained from it, it’s because I’ve got so much to do – it will take me more than two years to complete it all. (I’m a slow quilter ok!) I have not got so many UFO’s (trust me, there are a few hidden safely away!) as that I have WDHT’s (wanna-do-haven’t-had-time’s).
Thank you Penny – your inspiration has been much appreciated.
Regards,"
