two triangles, you take a deep breath and seriously re-consider whether that is the quilt you really want to make,

or whether you can find a quilt that has no triangles.

I had been quilting for many years before I decided to take on the challenge of sewing triangles.

As a matter of fact, my first experience with anything other than a square, rectangle or an appliqué heart was a Lone Star Quilt.

"Crazy," you say? Maybe. But that quilt was completely hand pieced. It took two years to finish, but every point was perfect. I just kept taking out stitches and putting them in again - until the point was perfect. That probably had something to do with why it took two years!

After that experience, I decided that there had to be a better way. So, I embarked on a journey to discover how to stitch perfect triangles by machine.

And, while triangle points may be triangle points, there are many different styles of triangles, and many different ways to stitch them together.
